Town, Tokunoshima, in the Amami Islands. It has been called the "Kurogumi
Village" for over 80 years.

a beautiful island in Kagoshima Prefecture. It is not clear when the villagers
first began to be called "Kurogumi." For over 80 years, the name
"Kurogumi" has been affectionately used in various occasions,
such as elementary school sports days (black, white, red, blue, green,
purple (now extinct due to the lack of children)), festivals, and meetings.
